Gonzales did exactly what Bush wanted re torture. |

Edited on Wed Jan-05-05 07:29 PM by blm
We all know EXACTLY how Bush and Cheney operate. They tell their minions WHAT they want and tell them to get there NO MATTER WHAT.
Diuilio, O'Neill and various CIA leakers have already told us that is how the WH operates, so blaming Gonzales for torture is not even the HALF of the story.
The story is that Bush expects HIS outcome on EVERYTHING. Others are there to do the heavy lifting, writing, and paperwork and take the blame when it goes wrong.

1. You know normaly i'd point straight to Cheney on this one but.... |
|
after having lived in Texas when Bush was Governer i know that he enjoys having "Folks" executed and i'm sure torture is his second runner up. Now thats not to say that Crashcart didn't have a big hand in this but he seems more of the in it for the money type while monkeynuts likes the pain.

2. Gonzales is Bush's lackey |
|
Going WAY back. He's been at the core of EVERYTHING, Halliburton, Enron, Texans for Lawsuit Reform, death penalty cases, covering up the DUI. The woman who replaced Gonzales as White House counsel is the one who first recommended Gonzales to Bush. She was likely responsible for getting Ben Barnes National Guard testimony sealed. Gonzales is the poster boy for Bush corruption and I do not understand why people are not working diligently to expose this rat bastard.

but, that should in no way excuse Mr. Gonzales. If he cannot stand up for what is right as the presidents counsel he has no business as our AG. This man is a war criminal. 100 yrs. from now the foul spectre of Abu Gharib will haunt this country like the holocaust still haunts Germany
