Ted Kennedy calls for Wolfowitz and Rummy to "step aside" |
|
just now on TW--
they haven't promod the new 9/11 tape--are they still going to show it?
Powell looked desperate--They're plamnning on just pretending everything is going well and according to plan! What plan? vague aphorisms to the eyeballs..

2. Excuse me, but I don't now what TW is. And probably cannot watch it. |
|
I don't have extended cable. But I am glad that a reasonable voice is being heard in LaLa news land today (what I could start to watch was blanketed by Powell, Rice, and apologists of the Bush regime). On a better note, they showed in the regular news Rumsfeld from Iraq (a snippet). Boy, does he look washed up!

16. Are you saying Ted is a one-man tsunami? |
|
Maybe if he did a cannonball into the pool ...
You gotta admit, Ted is BIG! I love him, admire him, respect him, and agree with him; however, the man **is** BIG.

4. Pretty big development, don't you think? Did you see |
|
Kennedy say this? If so, what else did he say? I watched Powell for a bit on MTP. He was saying he was confident the American people would understand and be willing to spend the money. He spun dreams about democracy in Iraq. Sad to say, we deposed a dictator, but Iraqis may very well choose a repressive theocracy like the Iranian one.

that the "policy" should step aside. Some other Democrat called for them to resign.
On edit: It was David Obie that called for their resignations.

6. Prediction: Bush gets rid of no one |
|
The Bushadmin modus operandi seems to be to never admit wrongdoing. I believe that they think such an admission might cement it into the American public's consciousness that something is definitely wrong. If they admit no wrongdoing and can manage to start mixing it up in one of the other Evil countries, the public's attention will shift, leaving said public vaguely aware that there had been some technical glitches in Iraq but that after a few bumps, it was working out.
It's hard to get my mind around that sort of thinking, but I think that's how they'll work it.
If so, this shows an incredible amount of scorn and disregard for the American people they're supposed to be there to represent.

11. I think its more that his inner bunch is untouchable |
|
I think this administration from its inception is a deal between conservative powers and in that sense no one is expendable because they are all in some sense neccessary and have too much power or sway or purpose to be expended. If we see people go it will be people like Tenet who arent part of the regime. If we do see someone in the inner group go down I think that is the day we can spot blood in the water.

Shrub will make his pitch tonight and lots of sheep will follow... Most Americans believe the last thing they heard; can't think for themselves. So, we need to keep the pressure on and keep talking. Good for Ted, Al Franken, and others for spotlighting shrub's failures and lies.

15. So every two months Ted wakes up, sticks his head up and says |
|
something and we all cheer?
Oh, what a great noble Democrat this moron is.
Who's out there fighting every day? Certainly not Teddy boy.
All this cheering of Ted Kennedy makes me sick. The guy's like a deadbeat dad, shows up every six months, works the kids up, then deserts them again.
