Soldier Begging For Dog Food For Deployed Dogs
LAS VEGAS -- The commander of an Army Reserve detachment is begging friends back home to send food for Iraqi police dogs.

"Some of them have already died," Cook wrote. "Half of them are sick. We have no way of buying actual dog food here."

Although there is a link, I have a hard time believing this. I mean they put all that money into training a dog to let it starve? I know a lot of people that would half starve themselves before seeing a dog starve. I don't get it, but then again, look at who were dealing with.

1. Seems like there would be enough waste from the military
kitchens to keep the dogs well fed. They must be locked in the mindset that dogs can only eat dog food. In Mexico most dogs subsist on stale tortillas.

4. It's a Question of Proper Nutrition
These dogs are living in adverse conditions, and are used to getting regular dog food, not table scraps. Even with food from messhalls it still does not mean the dogs are getting the nutrition that they need.

Most vets will tell you that feeding dogs from your table isn't good for them.

Besides, dogs in Mexico are probably use to subsisting on stale tortillas, because that's been an accepted practice, and most dogs in Mexico aren't trained to do what these dogs are trained to do.

2. they should all come home where the belong.
Our troops have one job--to defend this country. They haven't done that for decades. Every single war serves big business and the rich. These people don't serve me, they don't serve freedom and if their dogs are dying its because they won't recognize that they are serving an illegal President, an immoral war. Once they recognize that, they will realize that * doesn't care about their dogs, and they will perhaps change their hearts. When they change their hearts, they will then sacrifice themeselves to allow their innocent animals to survive--giving them as many of their own rations as necessary.

3. I have posted this at all my animal rescue groups.
They are already taking action. And believe me, it is being cross-posted to dog lovers all over the Internet.
