Tom Daly "Today is a shame...a shame" |
|
Edited on Thu Jan-06-05 03:49 PM by underpants
"The purpose of this is not justice it is noise....They have turned to what could be called the X Files wing of the Dem party........Conspiracy theories....Bush who supposedly is a closet computer nerd personally oversaw the writing of software to steal votes.........It is is a THREAT the very ideals it obstensibly defends........(he just talked about all the progressive ideals of the dem party-New Deal, Great Socirty, civil rights, the space program)...NO voter disinfranchisement happened in this election or in the election of 200o for that matter"
I'll add more as he speaks.

Where has he been? No one can prove a blanket statement that is so blatantly wrong. No voter disinfrachisement happened in Iraq under Saddam or in the Ukraine either I guess.

the main reasons we'll never see any kind of democracy again.
He's a horrible human being. Anyone who votes with DeLay is just as big a part of the empire as he is.

12. Yeah, and there was No VOTER DISENFRANCHISEMENT in the South in the 1930s |

Those Uppity Negroes just couldn't pass the Legally Mandated Reading Test, every last one of them. And all the White People could.
DeLays protestations of innocence carry as much weight as they did back in the 30s 40s 50s and 60s.

'Cause Democrats are fighting back for once. Will it change the outcome of the 2004 election? Almost certainly not. Is there value in fighting battles even when you know you'll lose? You'd better believe it, and Delay's comments are proof of that. It casts a pall over the Republicans' legitimacy that wasn't there from 2000 when nobody stood with the House Democrats to challenge Republican hegemony. And Delay doesn't like it one little bit.
And Tom? Tough beans, but get used to it.

so I called his office to remind them that they are not the "Republic" party, and we *are* the DEMOCRATIC party. http://tomdelay.house.gov/202-225-5351

Yeah, I heard it too. "No voter disenfranchisement."
We should hang these fuckers on those words. Every goddamned American, Republican or Democrat, KNOWS that there were people denied their right to vote.

Barbara Boxer walks into the room holding a needle, and DeLay starts venting. You just know someone in his own party is going to get sick of it and put a tack on his seat.

23. A house-hold name DEM should go on TV today and list his lies/ scandals... |
|
Edited on Thu Jan-06-05 05:22 PM by Dr Fate
...and list untruthful staements he made- and then say "I'll trust Tom DeLay when he goes under oath and anwers to all these lies & scandals. Otherwise, he has no credibility."
NAAAAHHHHHHHHH. That would be too "agressive" and "radical" and "like Micheal Moore"- better to pussy-foot around and let people assume he is trustworthy figure that we should all listen to.
Tom DeLay is not the problem- he does his job damn well- the problem is the large majority of DEMS are too chickenshit to take him on.
DeLay on the other hand, has never ever, ever been afraid of calling DEMS like Clinton "liars" and "criminals."
When will we learn???

The right to question was written in the Constitution. Now the Republicans are claiming what? That the Constitution is "aiding the terrorists?"
