BAGHDAD, Iraq - A roadside bomb killed seven American soldiers Thursday night in northwest Baghdad, the U.S. military said

The soldiers were on patrol when their Bradley fighting vehicle hit the bomb. Everyone inside the Bradley was killed.

The military said the names of the dead were being withheld until their families can be notified.

The deaths brought the number of U.S. troops killed since the beginning of the Iraq war in March 2003 to 1,349, according to an Associated Press count. That figure included an American Marine killed in action Thursday in the volatile western Anbar province.

2. Somalia was how many? Despite the fact that Bush I sent them in,
Clinton was raked over the coals for what? Lack of sufficient force, lack of armor, etc etc etc.

I hate republicans sooooooo fucking much.

5. I think Bush knows after a while they become numbers
That's why we're not allowed to see the coffins. That's why Nightline reading their names was "unpatriotic". Just numbers.

6. When over 58 million people gave their rubber stamp to that carnage
it's difficult to feel anything anymore... But I still am saddened by the death of many civilians and do understand very well why roadside bombs explode everyday.

7. On the days leading up to elections all out troops will be out in the
streets to try to keep order. I fear there will be mass casualties then.
