THANK YOU, SENATORS BOXER, KENNEDY, LEAHY, AND BIDEN!
Today, for the first time since Kerry's concession, I felt good about being a Democrat again. Not only did Senator Barbara Boxer sign off on the challenge to Ohio's electoral vote, but Senators Ted Kennedy, Patrick Leahy, and Joe Biden did a very nice job of asking questions that needed to be asked during the confirmation hearing of Alberto "Torture Boy" Gonzales. (Other Democratic senators may have done the same, but I was able to catch only bits and pieces of the hearing, alas.)

I am cautiously hopeful that this long-overdue show of courage on the part of our elected Democratic leaders will be the rule and not the exception. So, for the time being, I will not leave the Democratic Party as I had threatened to do. I only hope I won't feel compelled to abandon ship again!

13. I take that back in light of new facts.
That "Right On" only applies to Boxer. The others are wankers.

5. Only the ones with guts and integrity.
The only people who signed with Boxer are EXACTLY the Senators I will support in the future.

11. Biden said he "loves" his "old buddy" Gonzales!
"We're looking for candor, old buddy," Biden told Gonzales Thursday morning. "We're looking for you, when we ask you a question, to give us an answer, which you haven't done yet. I love you, but you're not being very candid so far."

Imagine a Republicans saying that they love a Democratic nominee under the same circumstances?

14. Good questions:
Unfortunately, knowing all that they know, Kennedy, Biden, and Leahy have all signaled their willingness to vote for The US Torture-man. But hey! Just as they all gave great speeches and then left Boxer to stand alone, they all asked good questions.

So why am I not satisfied?

Biden has supported bush more than he has supported me.

15. Biden?!!!! That bought'n'paid for creep? I truly am surprised.
That aside, don't get too cozy with the DLC again. Especially if you like Michael Moore or at least appreciate how he is taking the most risk in getting information out to the people.
