Wow...O'Reilly just had quite a rant about the "Left Wing Media"...Huh?
I want to know who he considers this "left-wing media" to be? Actually, this is another corporate media "conspiracy theory"! He was saying how the "left-wing media" has done a "character assassination" on Gonzalez! Ironically, this is the first topic I used last night for my new blog theme-"corporate media conspiracy theories":

It’s not even a week into the new year and already, conspiracy theorists in the corporate media are out in force!

Currently, one of their hot topics is the Gonzales hearing. Let's start with the Washington Post. There were so many different theories there, they went ahead and printed two in today’s paper. One writer said that Gonzales would, in fact, honor what he called “torture pacts”. However, one of his colleagues said that there were no “torture pacts” at all! They were actually “clemency memos”! (Clemency = “leniency and compassion shown toward offenders by a person or agency charged with administering justice”) The AP said the latter two were absurd and they were “prisoner treaties”. Moving on, it must have been tin foil hat day at the USA Today, which claimed the hearing was simply a chance for Gonzales to show he's more than a “yes man”. And the KC Star said that the hearings wouldn’t even focus on Gonzales, but on detainees.

In other conspiracy theory news, a writer for the USA Today, which is a popular gathering place for Republican whores, came out from the grassy knoll and said that many of the people in George Bush’s cabinet are not who most people think they are, saying “rather than follow the traditional path of populating his Cabinet with academics, Washington insiders and CEOs, Bush has assembled a Cabinet that is not only diverse in gender and ethnicity but also an American mosaic in background. Hmmmm, I guess it’s possible?

Do folks realize that this obvious bull -

or do we rephrase this as Bush prefers yes men like himself?

or Bush prefers barely competent folks like himself?

or that Bush wants to show that the rich can reach out to servants and elevate them?

Or is the idea to prove the average American has an IQ that accepts whatever authority or the media says?

5. Well, Today LIMBOsevic Called DU and MoveOn "Kook Libs"
He said that what the supposed roughing-up of GONZALEZ (looked like a softcore fest) and the challenge to the electoral count was a belated attempt to shore up the Dem base, that the party is on its longest slide since the '20s and that satisfying the base was the first step to regaining power and that despite the futility of today's activities, they were what the KOOKS (that would be us) had been clamoring for.

9. Bush has
“rather than follow the traditional path of populating his Cabinet with academics, Washington insiders and CEOs, Bush has assembled a Cabinet that is not only diverse in gender and ethnicity but also an American mosaic in background."

Or has he gathered a group that is diverse in gender and ethnicity, but lacking in academics and backbone.

This is a yes cabinet regardless of race, gender, origin or religion. But if you say that this cabinet is inferior to all those that precede it, you are a racist.

No...I see no MLK, Shirley Chisholm, Bella Abzug, Caesar Chavez-anyone who fought for social justice and the rights of all Americans.

I don't care the colour or gender...a sell-out is a sell-out.

11. Right-wing race card
Edited on Thu Jan-06-05 09:53 PM by Pushed To The Left
Some right-wing hosts, especially Hannity, have really been playing the race card. He has been implying that the questioning or criticism of Estrada, Gonzales, and Rice is racially motivated. The far right has no shame!

I initially registered Democratic just so I could vote against Casey in the PA gubernatorial primary. I switched to the Greens shortly thereafter.

Is he still on TV? I thought he was irrelevant since "dildo-gate 2004". What a pathetic second-rate hack.
