I am tired of feeling so much hate.
I hate republicans so much, and I feel horrible about it. I know they hate us more than we could hate them. I am a good person, but I just can't help but feel nothing but hatred for these idiots. I feel it is toxic to me.

Am I making any sense?

5. I hated them aggressively until recently, now I don't respect them enough
to even believe that they are human any more. They are "gooks" to me - just a mindless enemy that has no intellect, only emotion. They are to be tricked and manipulated based on their automated and mindless responses to certain stimuli. They are no longer sentient beings to me.

37. Most of them are simply not paying the slightest bit of attention
The ball game is on, you know. I'm too busy playing to pay attention...my teevee tells me Bush is doing a great job so he must be...
Most Republicans are simply too selfish and lazy to go beyond the bit phrases they are fed by their teevees.

8. Yep.
What helps me is to get away from DU and all news for a few days. I also got away from my toxic family and I think it's helping. I still have to suffer through some loneliness, but hopefully the void will be filled.

When the anger or hatred overwhelms you, take a break. How to stop it entirely? I don't know.

I don't believe in forgiveness when it comes to certain acts and I think it's OK to be angry, but when it eats away at your soul, it's time to do something about it.

(Anger is sometimes needed to drive activism.)

Anyone find an answer to the bad stuff that eats your soul?

I was waiting to see what the senators did today. I count Boxer and the Black Caucus as those to hang on to. Dean is a keeper.

Here's what I'm doing after the display today. Turning the TV off. Listening to AAR only. Watch some DVDs. Cook. Anybody in or near Hampton Roads, VA who likes to eat, you're welcome.

After charging some batteries, I'm waiting to see what Dean does. With the leadership wanting Terry McA to stay, I don't think they are interested in him as DNC chair, or having him nominated for 2008.

Save Dean running as an independent, I'll be voting Green. I'll lose as a Green before I continue to support the Dem party.

No $$$. No support.

Senator Boxer, Black Caucus, love ya. Thanks for standing up. Basically, what we've got are the Repugs and the Whimpocrats running the government.

13. Republicans fall in 2 catagories
The sheeple with no guts and a need for a father protector and 2) those who are willing to exploit the sheeple.

The first group is 90% of the Republicans. The second group is the remaining 10%.

For the first group, what can you do? A bunch of sissies. The 2nd group you can certainly despise.

16. Would you rather be a Republican? I think not.

Yes, you make sense. And yes, it probably IS toxic to you, so cut that part out! Hypertension, migraine, stroke and the heartbreak of psoriasis are things you can do without.

Things evolve; one has to look at the big picture. Politically, the USA is regressing but the world as a whole is getting better; witness,90% public opposition to the Iraq aggression all across the industrialized world. The USA will eventually follow suit.

Bottom line, I'm always glad I'm on the "side" that I'm on; otherwise, what's the point?

17. hate is destructive, but I know how you feel.
It helped me to totally avoid my insane wingnut family (the last time I visited, we all went to Church and I had to listen to a sermon on how drugs and sex were bad, but invading Iraq was the "Lord's work") this Christmas season. Much less stressed. Try to keep a sense of humor, and do try to talk to Repub's. This "divide and conquer" stuff is part of their plan, I suspect a lot more of us are in the middle and could unite, left to our own devices.

They are on my human-shit list: BFEE, Corporatist Cannibals, Fundamentalist Free-riders.

They are at the top of human-profiteering.

They do NOT represent the masses which they deceive, mislead, betray and USE, USE, USE.

19. Get in my camp........I hate both parties
Voted for Kerry-----didn't feel good about it.

The more I really force myself to think about Kerry and what he "stood for".....the less it pains me to see him lose. Bush was extreme, while Kerry was not as extreme. Call me a Freeper (even though I have donated to the site)...........but my Democratic party is no longer what it once was. I am going to think long and hard about who I vote for come 2006 and 8. Right now, it is looking like Nader.

24. Wow!!! I totally understand! Hate is a powerful emotion!
It's draining! These individuals deserve our contempt, but they are not worth the energy it takes to despise them! When they zap our energy-they zap our strength. Take comfort in knowing we, the people, demanded accountability today! Today, even if for just a moment, we the people called into question the legitimacy of this president. A president who will always be considered throughout history as the only two term president not elected by the people! Today, we have historically documented that truth. And please don't feel guilt for hating what is not good. The hatred may give you the strength and courage to fight for a cause that is noble and just! PEACE!

28. Me Two...
But you just can't help it! But as leaders (historically) of democracy and the true good of the people, Democrats really are bascially "good people," it's our leaders that are shameless. I'm off till the end of the month right now, and my heart sank when barely any Dem Senators stood-up with Boxer (my new hero)!

If we hate them, like they hate us (and they do in their pious, pompous, arrogantly ignorant, hauty, holier-then-all republi-tudes), they win.

So next time you're feeling blue and full of hatred (I dare say I blame any of us), head for Hatred (poking fun at conservative idiots) at http://www.hated.net/. You'll not feel so all alone and full of hate. We're suppose to be better than that, right!

And we are! Repeat after me, "We're better than them, 'cause we're not full of hatred like they are." Excuse me, I just made myself very ill!

Unfortunately I feel like we won't get the WH back unless we're as disgusting, deceitful, greedy, and sociopathic as they are. And who wants that? It really gets depressing, to see how much absolute garbage they get away with. Their hypocricy, self-righteousness and just plain meanness.

And who's worse? Them? Or the friggen idiots in this country who passively sit on their fat asses and believe them because they want to think everything's fine because it's easier that way?

31. Don't let the hate consume you
After the election I was seething with hate, my hair dresser brought me back to reality.

He has been cutting my hair for the last year, and always offers an interesting hour or so of political discourse. With the loss of the election he said he needed a break. He felt as you did, hate, hate, hate, all the time. He realized that it was consuming him, and if it did, the other side had won.

You don't need to think about politics twenty four hours a day, take a break. I turned off all negative radio and network news for about a month and regained my sanity. If the Right consumes you with hate, the only loser is you.

Peace

they are individuals with various weaknesses and strengths. There are probably decent values driving most of them to their choices, just a lack of information and fear.

Feel sorry for the ones who are deceived, for they will have a very painful letdown someday; or they will live their lives in denial.

33. YESSSSS...I can feel your hate young Skywalker.....
Quench it my friend. Take a step back. Life is too short to be hating. I've been there, and it doesn't make for a happy life. Shut off the TV. I cancelled my cable service and sold my television right after the election and I feel great.

I listen to NPR a little bit and scan LBR/Common Dreams/Alternet/Smirking Chimp for news, but when I feel the heat, I listen to classical music. I have listened to more classical music in the past couple of months than I have in the last twenty years...and I feel great.

You must find your own path to peace, but I'm sharing mine with you because I know how you feel, and I want to help. Prairie Home Companion is CANDY!!! Forget Crappy Network News, Miserable Sucky News, and Fucking Outrageous Xenophobic news.

You're making perfect sense, but the world doesn't change much in a human lifetime. I have found solace in reading up on human history--you can actually see change in history books, but not in life. The Mass Media is run by corporations and depends on peoples' fear and anxiety...that's what keeps people glued to the goddamn tv.

We're all in this together. Focus on similarities rather than differences. Remember that there are others in this world who care as much as you do. It would be nice if we could all be together, but if we were, we'd have conflicts as well.

Live long and prosper. Peace and long life.

36. I thought the same thing
Watch Return of the Jedi (ffwd through the Ewoks to Luke and Darth fighting and the Emperor growing stronger from the hate).

Lucas is consciously working with mythic truths in his Star Wars movies. Basically, all faith systems teach that love or selfless transcendence conquers hatred, while hate only strengthens and intensifies evil, even if the hatred is coming from the "goodguys".

Hard to live by sometimes, but worth the effort.

40. Absolutely
I just went on vacation for 2 weeks...in a blue state, with no computer and hardly enough time to watch the news or grab a newspaper. Without the constant barrage of idiocy, I actually forgot to be angry. It was quite refreshing. Unfortunately, while ignorance is most definitely bliss, we have a responsibility to remain informed. Unfortunately, for at least the next 4 years, being informed will mean being downright pissed off. So now I'm back in red state hell and am attempting to catch up on the news I missed...and I'm angry again too.
