I know that this subject was already talked about...but last night I got to see the entire show...the other night I caught it just as new rules came on...so I missed Clark's interview...but after seeing it last night I must say that I got very excited to hear what he was saying... Could this man be the deciding factor that will strip the Rethugs from the white house...?
I also liked what he had to say about the doll(Don't have exact quotes)...but he made reference to the uniform and that many brave soldiers fought and died in that uniform, and the honor that the uniform holds...(at one point Bill held up the doll...I don't remember the exact reference...) Was that a dis to shruby...saying that he dishonored the uniform with his little photo op...? I also like what he said about a pre-mature celebration over the war in Iraq...
I thought to myself that this is the man...if he announced that he was going to run...that I would vote for him...although I do like Dean at the moment...I am leaning towards Wesley Clark now... Would a Dean/Clark...or...Clark/Dean ticket be unstopable...? What do you think will happen if he announces that he will run...will the rethuglicans be crapping in their depends or what...?
Maybe some of you that support Clark can fill me on the real reason he retired...was he tired of the bullshit being handed down to him...or was their something more behind his retirement...?
And how about that panel...I wish D.L. would have just smacked that guy upside his head..."Are you high?"..."You must be high?"...I couldn't stop laughing...that was hilarious...where in the hell was that guy(The weekly standard guy) getting his info from...hopefully not from his own rag...I wouldn't even use that as TP if I had to...!
And the Al Franken interview was great...just great...Calling Faux News Assholes...you go Al...!
Well...anyway...like I said...I believe that this show was already talked about but I wanted to see it first before I got into any other discussion... All in all what was your take on the show...?

was the look on DL's face. WHen Kristol went on about how great things are fine in Iraq, DL's jaw was just dropping.
I really didn't notice it Friday night

3. General Clark was very impressive... |
|
And I think he would be an asset to any ticket and, if he chose to run, would make it very difficult for everyone else. He has a "uniting' quality that I think a lot of Americans - both Dems and Repubs - would find attractive...

That's what has sealed it for me. I am tired of the divisiveness of political discourse. It started escalating with the Impeachment of Clinton and has gone from bad to worse.
I like Dean, I really do, but his campaign is all about the anger we so rightly feel but even if he gets elected I don't see much change. It will be the same animosity and hostility with different players. We just can't keep going that way. THis polarization of American politics has to stop.
I didn't like Reagan much as a president, but there sure wasn't the backbiting and namecalling and complete lack of cooperation that we seem to be seeing now.
That's why I like Clark. He seems to have a vision of where we need to go. He can criticize Bush's policies in a way that is calm and articulate with the experience and knowledge to back him up.
