What is YOUR political plan of action for 2005? What will you do to
save Democracy and America?

Have you joined you local Democratic organization?

Have you called Congress people?

Have you written Letters to the Editor?

Have you considered running for something locally or in your state?

Do you attend MeetUps?

Have you called your state's Sec. of State?

1. My political plan of action
Edited on Fri Jan-07-05 10:56 AM by RubyDuby in GA
TAKE OVER! If you want something done right.....

I've been elected to the State Committee. I already serve on my local county committe. I call and visit my congresspeople (much to their chagrin) and I'm working on being on a first name basis with the people at my local papers. I host Meetups in my area. I'll be working very closely with my Sect. of State for the next 2 years (campaign) and I'm building a network for when I take a stab at something in 2008.

How's that?

4. I used to be a repub (don't shoot me, PLEASE!!)
actually, I was always registered Democrat, but I didn't know it and I supported repubs through family and right wing brainwashing.

Some things I am planning to do this year:

I have already called Senators, written to the NY Post (I love to write to them every day,) written to various other newspapers/magazines/, written to Senators, and am looking for a local Dem group to join. I also want to join local government and a historical preservation group. Any other ideas???
