a bust. Moving liberals is as tough as moving an elephant.

OK, I don't give up...I'm going to try one more time.

Can y'all help me with this puhleez?

Design for the revolution... We're still looking for one.
On the list so far
Spiral - Historical symbol for revolution
White Rose - based on the fight against the Nazis
Paper Clip - based on the solidarity fight in the 1930's
Dove
Olive Branch
Star

Here are some questions I have for you?
What are we doing?
What are we fighting for? Against?
What is this movement all about?
What are we trying to say to the people of the world?
What is our overall message?

Please help me answer these questions. I think clarifying our message is priority one. WE always diss the party heads about the message but we can't seem to clarify our movement/revolution right here.

Give it a shot...

6. Why not do a poll?
I'm really, really pleased and proud that the white rose made the final cut.

I vote White Rose.

10. Spiral, Stars
I'd like to see a spiral made out of stars, because a spiral is progressive, it's expanding, it symbolizes growth and openness, and the stars are patriotic, and both are natural.

Here is how the other symbols seem to me:
White rose - already has political association, roses die (short life span)

Paper clip - is closed, not natural, man-made

Dove & Olive Branch - these are wonderful symbols for peace but connote concilliation and that's not what we need right now

11. I don't know about US; or OUR message; here is MINE:
Edited on Fri Jan-07-05 10:58 PM by LWolf
What are we doing?

I'm standing my ground.

What are we fighting for? Against?

For: Social and economic justice; the first amendment; the right to privacy; sustainable energy and food; clean, healthy, diverse ecosystems; mentally, emotionally, and physically healthy people; stable, sustainable human population numbers; global peace, freedom, and cooperation.

Against: Reinforcing wealth and power structures for the wealthy and powerful; corporate government; privatization; overuse/abuse of resources; war, aggression, competition, greed; top-down control/standardized education system; for-profit health care; economic darwinism. That's enough to start with.

What is this movement all about? Cleansing, healing, restructuring, and reforming our government based on democratic principles, human rights, and environmental stewardship.

What are we trying to say to the people of the world?

We are peaceful, compassionate, generous, and trustworthy neighbors; we won't bite unless cornered, and we'd much rather be partners.

What is our overall message?

Peace and Prosperity on Earth

Symbol? The willow. It bends, not breaks, in the face of a storm. And when the storm has passed, it is still standing.
