I Felt So Foolish Today.
I started ranting about politics to my co-workers for no good reason and feel so stupid about it. I presented my argument weakly, and must have sounded like a conspiracy nut at one point. I know I shouldn't feel so bad when the unwashed masses think me crazy, but I do. If my confidence can be so shaken by others, do my beliefs have a strong foundation to begin with? I probably shouldn't even be posting this vague story in the first place, but I could use some DUer support.

1. Was your rant about anything particular in politics?

If it's about yesterday's events, I would read the Nashua Advocate's two latest articles (if you haven't already). Wise words, true words...

2. If you haven't been on a doctor's exam table
And responded to the doctor asking if you're doing okay with: "I'm in my happy place, in my head I'm watching C-Span and they are overturning the election."

then you are doing just fine.

I, on the other hand ...

3. Hanging out here - you get used to all sorts of ideas
Sometimes I go off and start telling my hubby all sorts of thoughts and ideas. And his expression goes frozen. Like he's worried about me. I think that I feel free to tell him whatever is on my mind because I'm spoiled by DU. We can get used to this atmosphere where we find research and test any of our conclusions.

Don't worry about the people at work. Next time you'll keep it simple for them. Nothing wrong with you getting a little excited. After all, the country has gone nuts.

4. Welcome to the twilight zone, my friend.
Up is down. Black is white. Crazy is sane.

Don't forget that last one. These are strange days, indeed.
