WASHINGTON (UPI) – President Bush witnessed the swearing-in of his White House staff Monday and said he expected them to avoid even the appearance of impropriety and to conduct themselves with humility and civility at all times....

Bush warned that he expected his White House staff to meet the highest ethical standards, avoiding not only violations of law, but even the appearance of impropriety.

"We must remember the high standards that come with high office," he said. "This begins careful adherence with the rules. I expect every member of this administration to stay well within the boundaries define legal and ethical conduct.

"No one in the White House should be afraid to confront the people they work for over ethical concerns, and no one should hesitate to confront me as well."

2. Is there anyone on the planet who doesn't see such statements
as total BS? Honestly. Did he say it with a smirk and with titters from the audience?

Ok, *, we're all in the "joke" now, only it ain't funny.

3. Dreck like that would turn up in Newsmax.
Ethics! Bush? ROFLMAO! I can just imagine how he actually said that, with his phony Texas accent and weird lisp and the smirk and the Beavis and Butthead giggle:

"We musht re-MEM-ber the HIGh STANDARDS that come with high office, heheheh. This begins with careful ad-HEER-ensh with the rules. Heheheh."

He's ethical like Hannibal Lecter is a vegetarian.

6. Um, that sounds like something you'd remind children of,
