Poll question: Will you boycott Staples because of their revised Sinclair position?
They looked to be pulling all advertising from Sinclair, but now issued a press release saying they would not. Possibly because of threats from Sinclair.

6. I guess since Staples has decided to single themselves out
and specifically spoken out in favor of Sinclair and against Media Matters for America, we single them out as well. Shop at one of the others and boycott Staples. Concentrate the effect, don't spread it around and dilute it.

The Media Matters site shows thoroughly documented evidence that
  1. Staples informed Media Matters in writing that they were pulling their advertising from Sinclair as of January 10th
  2. Staples replied to our email complaints during that period with similar statements about no advertising on Sinclair after January 10th
  3. Staples reviewed and approved the language in the Media Matters January 4th press release.

We will not allow them to backslide from their position without paying a heavy price.

As soon as we have an adverse effect on some of these businesses, others change their tune. Very, very few of them are as committed to RW causes as Sinclair and Fox. They will stand with the Right as long as it doesn't cost them much to do so. Make them pay and they will become neutral. (I don't expect to get them to go as far as supporting progressive issues.)
