Trickle Down Fails AGAIN! Remember 5.5 million jobs by the end of 2004?
Edited on Sat Jan-08-05 03:47 PM by JanMichael
Wrong. 2,407,000 were "created" and they were short by 3,103,000.

Why aren't they hammered with this 24/7 by the media? The Tax Cuts were simply a giveaway to the RICH. But remember the pundits (Was that Armstrong guy pimping the tax cuts too?) and the adminisration harping on about how the tax cuts would create five million jobs? Remember?

Well. They were wrong.

Once again: Tax Cuts to the top 2% do NOT help the bulk of Americans. They do NOT.

Liars.

EDIT: I forgot something. It's not "Trickle Down" it's PISS ON!

1. Mention it next time they argue figures with SS.
You cannot trust these people with one dime of your hard-earned pay.

3. Bush's Missing 10.2 Million Jobs
Employment Picture Still Dreary
Comstock Funds
January 06, 2005

Whatever the December payroll employment report shows tomorrow, it can’t come close to making a dent in the serious jobs shortfall of the current economic expansion. Here’s why. The NBER officially designated November 2001 as the bottom of the last recession, meaning that the November report marked the third anniversary of the upturn. During this 36-month period total non-farm payroll employment increased only 0.9%, a number that pales in comparison to past cycles. Over the last seven economic expansions the average rise for a comparable period was 8.7%. If that were the case on the current cycle there would have been 10.2 million more jobs than the total number reported for November, and the average monthly increase for the 36-month period would have been 316,000 per month. Instead the average monthly rise was a paltry 33,000, and even over the past 12 months when employment picked up somewhat, the average monthly increase came to only 171,000, a far cry from the typical cyclical increase. In fact only three months of the 36 showed increases of more than 300,000 jobs.

Snip ......

4. But They Help The Top 2%
Who really cares about the rest. They don't have enough money or clout to matter all that much. The media can handle that by neglecting to report this type of information.

5. Oh, please, it's not like the plutocrats expected it to WORK.
It was just a PR gizmo to sell looting the treasury, shifting wealth away from workers, and shoving the burden of government squarely onto the shoulders of the poorest to the people it was going to hurt the worst.

It's worked the way it was supposed to. The richest 0.5% have grown unimaginably richer while over half the citizens now live well under the poverty line were it to be figured honestly. Rich men pay few taxes, while the middle class and poor folks shoulder the burden. The country is nearly bankrupt, thanks to giveaways to the corporations that the rich own and control.

The only thing that is going to upset the applecart now is offshoring of jobs. We're nearly at the tipping point there, with not enough workers left to support all the services the rich demand.

9. Please remember all you fans of Trickle Down,
Ronnie's "tax cut" was actually a tax increase on the middle class. He took away our ability to deduct personal interest on Federal taxes. No more deducting personal loan or credit card interest.
