1. Why the hate against Buchanan?

This paleoconservative is against free trade and against the war. Bush and his neoconservatives are this guy's enemies even though he pretends to be cool with them in order to fulfill his role as the right wing commentator on TV without confusing people. He's the least of our worries.

2. Insert any repub name you want

Buchanan just happens to be the one on the talk shows who best represents the RW - avoided military service, no private sector experience (good, bad, or otherwise). He sits back and criticizes the very programs that have most assuredly helped him to his position - a hypocrite. Just because he happens to support a couple of anti-repub positions (war, trade) does not save him from ridicule - he's not much better than the rest of them.
