4. Frank, my iMac G4 WILL NOT play the GJ show archives

I can get the live stream on Windoze Media Player, but I can't play any of the Guy James Show archives on my Imac G4. Every one of my players -Windoze Media Player, Realone Player, Quicktime, & iTunes- gives a 'file type not recognized' or a 'no codec to play file' message. (BTW, my players work with just about everything else)

What gives? :shrug:

6. I'm sorry. I'm trying to get that issue resolved but...

I do not have access to a Mac and I actually "thought" I had fixed it by using the second link for "others". I take it you tried that? One link uses the mms protocol and the "other" uses http. They are .mp3 files encoded @ 16 or 20khz. We're a little short on storage.

If you try the other shows and find a link that works for you please let me know [e-mail]

The Mike Mallow show streams over at www.whiterosesociety.org/ work fine for me, NONE of the links on the GJ show archives page works on my G-4 w/OS X, on any player.

9. Interesting, Whiterose files will NOT stream for me...

I have to download them and then play them. I'm not giving up on this I'm just a little strapped for time. I manage the site, the archives and the preproduced show segments on my free time. I have only some hunchs as to why they don't work for you. It may be the encoding or the server its self. Other than that I've no idea. It would be a different story if I could make adjustments and then test it for myself but I can't... no MAC. But I'll continue to work on the issue.

I've got to hear it, having had to leave during that phone call before Guy James had finished speaking with her. That was the most intense moment on a talk show I will EVER expect to hear. EVER.

This is a great chance for any DU'ers to hear the man who runs the Saturday show, (also in archives) which gets a lot of phone calls from terrific Democratic Undergrounders, and which attracts a bunch of us to listen all at the same time on Saturdays!

10. It was my most difficult radio moment ever.

I had doubts as to whether or not I could continue to speak after hearing her impassioned plea. I hope that somehow her call can get aired to as many people as possible for she carried a message that is far more powerful than anything anyone not in her position could ever say.
