One of the things our press or TV media do not understand is that |
|
their convenient classifications of the Iraqi society, such as Sunnis and Shiites, may become obsolete the minute Americans are introduced into the mix. Given that Iraq has seen Western Imperialism first hand through our allies the British, and the memories of that last a long time in the region, I wouldn't be surprised if the Iraqis as a whole would make common cause against an enemy like the U.S.Once again, our ignorance of other people, their motivations, their culture poses formidable barriers to any breakthroughs in the Middle East.

they are just not "allowed" to report on it, or investigate, or question it.
With the breaking of the Williams story -- the credibility of the "free press" is less than zero.
