24/7 news coverage of tsunami? Is the rest of world still there?
Important coverage, yes...but it is exclusive tsunami on CNN world news..which is the only english speaking news i can get here in Mexico. Is it the same in the USA?

Pretty much, yes. The media sensationalism of this coverage absolutely sickens me. Not trying to take away from the fact that it's a horrific event, but why do they not give this much coverage to the crisis in the Sudan or the humanitarian crisis that US is causing in Iraq?

I swear, it's like if it didn't happen to Americans then the media just doesn't care.

2. Yep, the corporate media
has been holding vigil because some white people, specifically white American people, are lost. Had it been only brown people, the story would have been relegated to the back burner along with Sudan, etc.
