has a Francophone Society! I had given up after searching on the internet, but today I happened to look in the paper's organizations list and lo and behold! There it wa!

My French stinks and my efforts to brush up have been pretty bad to this point...and I would be embarrassed to open my mouth if I went....but I think if I can find one or two souls who have a wider view of the world, a more tolerant attitude, and didn't have to deal with politics, that would make me happy.

There must be people around that you don't have to discuss politics with before you get to a decent sense of the world....I hope. Sometimes the brain has to have a vacation from the political world...esp. as it stands now.
