When the DLC or the DNC talks about continuing their destruction |
|
of our Party, remember that 1.Only 57% of the electorate turned up to vote.2.Even this turnout was helped by the efforts of Dean, Kucinich, Sharpto and others.3.The perception that the DLC/DNC axis avoids our base and its interests has caused the turnout to be smaller than what was possible.

1. Dean needs to take over the DNC. |
|
And get rid of the DLC. Just lose them. It is time to take the Democrats in a new direction. Watch the Democratic Party self-destruct if the continue the status quo. A new political party is going to have to be established out of our own faction or factions.

4. DLC neutralizes the Democratic Party. |
|
Their goal is to move the Democratic Party to the right and forsake all of the party principles of progressivism. It was a good sell to the American public only because of Clinton but now, nobody is buying it and if you are one of those who think the play it safe tactic works then I have a bridge in San Francisco to sell you.

5. Two of the DLC tactics are most offensive to me: |
|
1. Support of torture ( Gonzalez nomination) 2.Support of the Iraq War despite the fraudulent pretexts on which it was based.

....if Dean got the purse and Chair of the Party and he began to build a grassroots finacial base to minimize corporate interests and continued to groom grassroots people for political office, I would say there's at least hope for the Democratic Party and my support for it....

trying to get the moderate republican votes instead of trying to get the other 40% registered voters that haven't voted in the last two elections...if people aren't voting it's because no one represents them, which would be the left side of the party...why vote if both candidates are republican? Why can't they figure this out? They should come forward and say, they want socialized medicine, living wages, unions, environmental protection, etc. This is what the third parties represent, because they can see there is a voting base for it, so why can't the Dems figure out that this would give them the lead? The only reason I have always voted Dem, is because they are the closest to what I want,( which is usually pretty much like the third parties), but have a chance of winning. I hear over and over from people that don't vote anymore that there is no one to vote for, because the candidates are the same, (well, we know that wasn't true this time around), but we have to present REAL change...
