tinfoil hat time: super soldiers are real and coming to a war near you! |
|
just saw a show on the History Channel about super soldiers. they use nanotechnology to create artifical muscles which can heal wounds and make them super strong. if that's not scary enough, they're giving them bullets which are like mini-guided missiles that can track onto a target and follow him around until it hits. some scary, scary stuff. oh, and their uniforms have cameleon-like attributes in that a soldier can punch in a code and the uniform changes camoflouge to fit the enviroment.
is your tinfoil hat on yet? they also have unmaned helicopters which are deadly silent and can fly anywhere and hover for an incredibly long period of time.

3. Arnold is a genetic supersoldier! |
|
Edited on Mon Jan-10-05 12:37 AM by DireStrike
Think about it... his family... his history... his movies...
:scared:
On the whole though, the idea of 'supersoldiers' doesn't scare me much. At one point, people who wore armor under their clothes were probably considered supersoldiers.
Hell, left-handed people have a better chance of surviving in melee combat! (Read article about it on DU somewhere.)

(It probably can be done - but, as I just rented that DVD this weekend, my mind just clung to that.)

6. I have a paralyzed muscle. Does this nanotechnology |
|
work to heal a muscle with nerve damage? Is there anywhere in the US where a civilian can get this done?
I've had an unstable shoulder with neck/back pain for 7 years. It would be nice to know if there's something on the horizon that could help.
As for Arnold, his pumped-up physique is due to bodybuilding and years of steroid abuse, with heavy promotion from muscle magazines and the bodybuilding supplement manufacturers.
