Where are you allowed to videotape in airports these days?

I was pondering this the other day, as I recall getting yelled at for (unintentionally) filming the metal detector area at an airport while on vacation a few years back. Have any of you had recent experience with such things? I'm just wondering where families, etc. on vacation are allowed and not allowed to film themselves in an airport. (We're assuming that the family will only be going to the normal public areas of the airport. None of this smartassing, now. :))

2. I caught crap for fiming planes landing

Out of the window while in the passenger lounge waiting for a flight. I was told that I wasn't allow to film ANYWHERE on airport property. 'Course some blonde hottie was filming away about twenty feet and the rent-a-cop didn't say anything to her- just the old fat dude (me).
