Armstrong Williams: "My apology"
What an ass :nopity:

http://www.townhall.com/columnists/Armstrongwilliams/aw20050110.shtml

Dear readers:

In 2003, I agreed to run a paid ad on my syndicated television show, promoting the Department of Education’s No Child Left Behind Act. I subsequently used my column space to support that legislation. This represents an obvious conflict of interests. People have used this conflict of interests to portray my column as being paid for by the Bush Administration. Nothing could be further from the truth.

At the same time, I understand that I exercised bad judgment in running paid advertising for an issue that I frequently write about in my column. People need to know that my column is uncorrupted by any outside influences. I would like to take this opportunity to apologize for my bad judgment, and to better explain the circumstances.

-snip-

I accept full responsibility for my lack of good judgment. I am paying the price. Tribune Media has cancelled my column. And I have learned a valuable lesson. I just want to assure you that this will never happen again, and to ask for your forgiveness.

I hope that we can put this mistake behind us, and that I can continue to bring the same unique and impassioned perspective that I brought to this space in the past.

2. "I am paying the price"
A lot easier to do with an extra $240,000 in your pocket, eh Armstrong?

And now, the lovely Armstrong Williams models the mantle of affected victimhood. Doesn't he look pathetic and sorry? Let him hear it, folks!

9. Nobody really rams down our throats that Rush slept in the Lincoln bedroom
although he acknowledges it.

At that time, he was just starting to get his "national" attention going.

Who whored out the Lincoln bedroom for cheap there?

7. I know with every fiber of my being
that Hannity, Limbaugh, Savage and all other right wing wackos have been paid. I just wish there was some way to prove it. We are living with fascism in this country.

8. Of Course Their Paid...Just Who Pays Them
Rushbo sold out ages ago when Edward McLaughlin plucked him out of a Sacramento radio station, waived money at him and said he'd be their poster boy, just say what you're told...in time Rushbo not only believed the crap he was paid to say, he was making stuff up on his own. The more stuff he made up, the richer he got.

This recipes been followed over and over. The dirty secret in talk/hate radio is the more obnoxious and outrageous you are, the more chance you'll get noticed and move up to bigger gigs and onto the corporate teet and payroll. This is capitalism, in its crude and rude form.

I'm willing to bet we could audit the checkbooks of most major "journalists" or "commentators" or whatever their egos dictate their title and see PAC and other "consulting" fees that are nothing more than RNC bribes. As long as this is done with their own ill-gotten funds, that's their business, it's when it involves tax money, then it's time to start investigating.

Armstrong is a putz...and will now become a "victim"...again, and dare I say it, playing the "tar baby" roll he's played for the RNC (he wasn't hired to advocate NCLB...he was hired cause he was a black man who said what his white handlers pay him to say...and give the impression that there are blacks who actually think Repugnicans are good)...being "singled" out, rather than the media daring to investigating itself and out its own hypocrisies.

When I would post regularly here, I'd note the "blast fax" game that was played by the RNC...how a lie or slur like Slime Boats or Plame can be turned to the GOOPs effect and how this is done using CNNservative, hate radio and even C-SPAN. You can follow the mantra of the day, and there's only one way I know you keep so many people so on message all the time...it's folding green.

Trust me, most of the Beltway media hopes this Armstrong story, and Armstrong, will go away...it's crapping too close to where they all sleep.
