I received a strange e-mail this morning from someone at a major media website, giving me a password to an archive. To what archive I do not know, but I'm kind of perplexed about this. If you want more information or have more information for me please message me over DU, or PM me on AOL IM.

1. You can't get PMs yet. |
|
But go to my website and email me. (I will not post my email on a public forum b/c I don't want SPAMbots to get a hold of it.)

If in doubt, delete it. Theres something making the rounds (forget the name) that pretends to send passwords, when its actually a virus in zip format. The subject often has <KEY: XXXX> in the subject, with XXXX being a random set of numbers.

4. Delete it IMMEDIATELY. |
|
I immediately delete ANY e-mail if I do not know the sender. Doing to this site and entering a password could allow them access to EVERYTHING on your computer.
