Bush FAKES sincerity and warmth better than anyone I've ever seen!
He's on CNN now thanking Americans for contributing to aid of Tsunami relief....I have NEVER seen anyone who can act the part of a caring, compassionate person better than he can....I stress ACT THE PART!!.....:puke:

1. You're giving him too much credit
Edited on Mon Jan-10-05 11:39 AM by fertilizeonarbusto
I always saw through him, and, obviously, so do you. This has just as much to do with a whorish, slavish sycophantic media and a brain-addled public.

4. He has his act down perfectly.....leaning forward into the camera as if
he's talking directly to you....and throwing in little self-deprecating comments....He's a genius at it...IMO

2. He's a great actor
Nobody believes me because he mangles words, but he really gives a great performance. He's adapted the style of evangelical preachers. Just ripped them right off, and he's a good mimic.

11. I don't think so. Reagan was politicall, a good actor, hence his
appeal, but Bush's appeal is something spookier.

3. Is he smirking?
Honestly, I can't see anyone falling for his phony "compassionate" BS.

5. When I asked my father
what drew him to Bush --- he said he sees honesty.

I almost threw up.

6. It is all an act. He's learned the body language and the words
in order to convince people that he's "one of them," a nice, down-to-earth guy. But you can often see glimmers of his underlying contempt showing through.

10. To me what gives him away is the cruelty in his eyes
There are times when his eyes look like black, bottomless, pits.

9. I don't agree. I think he's terrible at any attempt to act as if he has
empathy for anyone else! Most times his facial expressions and body language are entirely inappropriate.

12. In my day we used to call it being two-faced, a person
who was all smiles and friendliness to your face while he was stabbing you in the back.

13. He might be the best at looking like he is acting.
He is the least best of being convincing of anyone I know.

14. Heh
I don't think he even acts it very well. He's as transparent as Saran Wrap, as fake as my Aunt Dot's fingernails.

15. Bush is a politician.
Is there a more dishonorable profession?

I don't think so. Well, lawyers are close second, used car salespeople are third, preachers are fourth, ...

16. I don't find him at all convincing myself, BUT I am not one of the many
Americans who have a deep psychological need to believe in his goodness. I don't understand them; they don't understand me. We're not using the same parts of our brains...
