in case you dont know (or are too lazy to click the link above), the curse is that every U.S. president elected on a year with the last digit being a 0 (1900, 1960, 1980...) has died tragically by assasination or illness (excluding regan, but it was close).

There was no president "elected" at year 2000. You can either look at it as if Shrub "dodged the bullet", as they say, or that the curse took a hiatus until the year 2020 because the election was suspended...

BTW, Reagan "died" on the operating table - I can't remember if they put him in a coma for a bit or stopped his heart, but I do remember hearing that he was "clinically dead" for a minute or two so the doctors could finish up whatever they were doing to save his life.
