The Speech tonight...
ABC Worldnews Tonight had a teaser about what Bush was going to address tonight. Basically that the "War on Terrorism" hinges on success in Iraq.

What defines success in Iraq? Spending money, spending lives, spending our future. But mostly its about spending, spending, spending. So how is it that the rationale for making the "tax-cuts" permanent can still be said without breaking out into a full belly laugh?

1. Pure Spin, its all spin man. These Pubs know a good thing when they see
one. Create fear, make the Nation spend, they reap the profits, they go Bermuda, we work overtime without overtime pay.

Come, we vote those assholes OUT

2. On CNN
There was a talking head who opined that his approval ratings would increase once he gave the speech tonight. I wanted to punch the television screen after hearing that.

He never says anything when he speaks, it's just jingoistic gobbledygook, pasted together with references to the bible, and interspersed with phrases that laud Americans, America, and freedom.

3. If they do
the "bump" will last a few days. BTW, it's obvious stopping his ratings drop is why he's giving the speech at all.

4. How many people
would actually watch an address on Sunday? Most people are probably watching football.

5. Is it really going to be a "speech"
or just a pre-recorded address (he has practiced for days) behind his desk?

Yawn....
