Tim Roemer must not become DNC chairman.
This will be the most critical year for the Democratic Party. Two factors will make or brake the Demos. How they handle Bush's policies which will be more right-wing than his last administration and who the Democratic Party will choose as their chairman.

I think Howard Dean will be the best choice for the post. He will bring vitality and a desparately needed new direction to the Democratic Party. Wellington Webb would probably be good too. The only person I have a problem with is Tim Roemer. He has DLC written all over him. In fact he is a DLC member. As a congressman, he supported what was the Filner Amendment, a proxy vote for privatization of Social Security. He also has a very suspect voting record that reeks of Republican Lite. Take a look....

What really kills me is that Nancy Pelosi is endorsing him! What on earth has happened to her??? The DNC does not need anymore Republican Lite leaders. Particularly in the DNC chair seat. If Roemer does become the chairman, then it's over. The Democratic Party will be officially dead. All progressives and lefties will have to come together and a third party will have to emerge to counter the two parties to where they will be no real difference.

Save your party. Say NO to Roemer.

4. Roemer and the 9/11 (Whitewash) Commission
Edited on Tue Jan-11-05 09:25 AM by pberq
Besides being a representative of the DLC, Roemer was a party to the whitewash of the 9/11 Commission. If he becomes DNC Chair, we will have been hijacked!

Here's what 9/11 Citizens Watch says about the 9/11 commission's final report:

http://911citizenswatch.org/modules.php?op=modload&name=News&file=article&sid=355&mode=thread&order=0&thold=0
<snip>
Critics were emphatic in debunking the report. Kyle Hence, co-founder of 9/11 Citizens Watch, criticised a "catalogue of compromises, flawed premises, conflicts of interest, unanswered questions, neglected areas of inquiry and ignored whistleblowers" in the report.

"The report being released today by this so-called independent commission cannot possibly be deemed definitive or authoritative as an account for the events of September 11th - not by any stretch of the imagination," Hence told a Washington press conference, adding that the group intended to issue its own analysis detailing its view of how the 9/11 attacks were carried out.

9/11 Citizens Watch crtique of the report can be found at:

Reid and Roemer. That's enough, you don't have to beat me senseless before I get it. WPA here I come and I will bring as many women with me as I can. (Woman's Party of America)

Max Cleland is endorsing Roemer.

Every day we slip further into some weird alternate universe.

Did I say that out loud?
