thinking about dennis miller earlier today
in light of the armstrong williams revalation, his overnight pod people-esque change into a right winger may be explained now

2. I never understood his position shift either?
He used to do some pretty liberal stuff on his HBO show, he sure didn't seem like such a Repug dick not too many years ago. His Rants used to be pretty cutting.

4. Yeah, but he was more libertarian than liberal...
I agree that he used to seem pretty cutting edge, but watching some of the repeats, I hear a VERY libertarian view from him at the HBO point, and not necessarily a liberal point of view...

5. I remember thinking he was liberal until he started talking up
Ross Perot. At that point I decided he was merely clueless. Then, when he took his hard-right turn, he also seemed to get seedier-looking. At that point, I wondered if he'd stopped taking his meds (or just had a nervous breakdown). He does seem to have degenerated in the past few years, and I'm not just saying that because he turned into a rightwing nutjob.

They could indeed be paying him, but IMHO they're wasting their money!

7. In an interveiw I read with with Miller he says
"I shifted to the right because they pay better. I've got a wife and kids to support, why settle for half the candy bar when you can have the whole thing?"
