Hillary wanted Wes Clark to run for DNC chair |
|
but he said no because he wants to run for Pres. in o8 (on CNN).
Hillary is getting worried 1. she doesn't want to run against Wes 2. She knows Dean will not give her favors
(trying to kill two birds with one stone!)

Is it CNN? Was it on a news broadcast, or an opinion show?
Thanks!

Chuck Todd on Inside Politics. He said that Hillary approached Wes Clark about running for the DNC Chair and that he said he was not interested as he was planning on running for President again.

If Dean can get DNC chair, he won't run for President in 2008. I can see myself supporting Clark in 2008. I'm sure Dean wanted to be president, but I think it was more to reshape the party. I'm looking for Dean to get his props out of this party first.
The only hesitation I have about Clark is the ties to the Clintons, who I never want to see in office again.

30. While the speculation this proposes makes me fluster with |
|
anticipation...
I do not believe anything that CNN puts out there. Period.
Why on earth would A.) Bill and/or Hillary tell anyone in the media about their private conversations? and B.) it's Judy WoofWoof for God's sake (well, on her show, at least).
I personally think it's a ploy by the cWHOREporate media to get the Deanies and Clarkies all at each other's throats again with new meme's that Clark enters a race to be a Dean spoiler (not true) and ruin the grassroots efforts so some Party hack can take over.

33. The Clinton's were the ones who urged Clark to run in 2004 |
|
So this story makes no sense. As for Hillary, I think she is going to have a hard enough time holding on to her senate seat, next election, let alone running for president. Time will tell.
I always liked Sharpton's quote welcoming Gen. Wesley Clark to the Democratic presidential race: "I want to welcome him to our list of candidates. And don't be defensive about just joining the party. It's better to be a new Democrat that's a real Democrat than a lot of old Democrats up here that have been acting like Republicans all along." So true!
I've also heard time and time again Clark saying he voted for Clinton & Gore. But some people just dont like the truth, I guess.

They wanted him to run to be the anti-Dean (Dean would equal less favors for them).
I'm sure that Wes himself ran because he had such unique qualifications, and would have been an amazing President (I hope he is one day), and with the help of people like the Clinton's he could raise money to enter the race.
I would believe this for two reasons. 1. I don't think Hillary wants Dean to run the DNC because of her political ambitions. 2. I don't think she wants a rivalry from her more qualified friend (Clark)
I do think she will run.
and I don't think she would lose in NYC (New Yorkers would not vote a republican into the senate......they may have been more open-minded to different parties with Gulianni and Bloomberg, but not in these times.)
