John Tesh doing tsunami relief -- for *Pat Robertson*?!
This little factoid appears at the bottom of the article about the latest Clooney-O'Really dustup:

http://story.news.yahoo.com/news?tmpl=story&cid=796&ncid=762&e=5&u=/eo/20050111/en_celeb_eo/15680

Other bold-faced types adding their bold-faced names to the relief effort on Monday included:

Hip-swiveler Ricky Martin (news - web sites), winging to Thailand out of concern for children orphaned by the disaster;
Mild-man John Tesh and wife Connie Sellecca, heading to Sri Lanka as reps of Operation Blessing International, a non-profit humanitarian organization;
Teen queen Hilary Duff, donating a portion of ticket sales from her Most Wanted tour to the tsunami survivors.

"Humanitarian", my uvula: Operation Blessing is an arm of the Pat Robertson empire and has, in the past, been used as cover for Pat's shady diamond mine dealings. Soooo.....

What's Robertson's game in Sri Lanka? Human trafficking or something? Or just a photo op to bring in more people's Social Security checks to fund the shady stuff? And...

What's the deal with John Tesh? Is he now a fundie or something? :puke:

3. I Thought He Was an Asshole When He Was an Anchor on WCBS-TV
I thought he was a bigger asshole on "Entertainment Tonight".

He's just one big asshole, IMHO.

10. Vomit! too much info
I remember reading that headline about how he and his current wive waited.
1. Good for them.
2. Both were on marriage #2 or 3 and in their 30s or 40s
3. And I have a gag reflex when ever I see him now.

9. Tesh is a born-again Christian
Edited on Tue Jan-11-05 05:44 PM by Kilkenny5
Both he and his wife, actress Connie Selecca, are "saved."

Howard Stern used to call Tesh the "Blonde Frankenstein."

12. They did an infomercial together.
They talked about their new found life and it was mighty creepy.

Tesch's concerts without music are amazing.

13. Greece has Yanni, America has John Tesh...
Only Yanni doesn't SOB LIKE A BABY when one of his songs mentions jesus. As a hard-core born-again, Tesh just HAS to roll out the tears when singing about HIM. (and that's about 80% of his set.). Truly creepy.
