Dems "go along to get along" persona has to change |
|
if we are going to take back our government from the Repukes. The State of Washington is a good microcosm example of how the Repukes would handle a close national election if THEY lost. All the Repukes up and down the line, from grass roots through their top levels, are fighting to bring down Gregoire and have Rossi put in as governor. They are fighting tooth and nail on this and show no signs of giving up. They don't care how hypocritical they look, they just want to win at any cost. Now if the roles were reversed, I would bet that the Washington State Dems would have given up by now, at least the leadership Dems, just like the vast majority of the leadership Dems gave up on fighting for the Presidential election. The Democratic leadership is filled with non-confrontational pussies. Until we elect leadership that will FIGHT like the Repukes are fighting in Washington, we will continue to be a minority party.

Gore and Kerry - need I say more.
I just heard they are planning impeachment for Gregoire. They make so much noise that people give in to them to get some peace and quiet. Dems tiptoe and then concede.
If having lost two elections does not make room for the passionate and fiery Democrats to take charge, I just don't know - other than refining concession speeches over the decades, there is nothing left to fight for except for own ideals but without a party.

2. That's why I support Dean for DNC chair. I don't know if I agree with him |
|
on all issues or if he is as much to the left as I am, but from what I've seen of him this past year, he sure has got the fire in his belly to fight these bastards every inch of the way. We need more Dems like Dean in leadership positions who will fight, fight, FIGHT!!

That's right. Our cause and our values are worth fighting for. Anyone in a dem leadership position who isn't up to fighting should just retire (shouldn't be too rough considering their disgustingly-fat-ass-taxpayer-paid-pensions) and get the hell out to make room for others who are brave enough to stand up for what they/we believe in.

4. We need passion, not expediency |
|
Back during the Democratic convention, watching Barak Obama reminded me what has been mising from the Democrats for the past decade or so: passion.
Our candidates seem to worry too much about what the latest polls say and what is "expedient." I miss the days when Democrats had a passion for doing something because it was the right thing to do. Under Clinton, a man I once respected but who I now have come to believe is symptomatic of the Democratic malaise, decisions seemed to be made on the basis of what the morning's polls said and who was the last person to have the president's ear.
We desperately need leaders who will stand up for the right thing because such action will bring more people to you than trying to figure how "the people" feel, then moving to attempt to please the majority of them.

because they wouldn't be in denial of the fact that THEY LOST THE FUCKING ELECTION.
Rossi fucking lost and everyone knows it, so they're behaving like a bunch of jackasses. Why the hell should we emulate this behavior?
Should we break into RNC offices and plant wiretaps? This is after all a way that the GOP fought for elections in the past.

7. I hate to say this because I would hate to see it happen, but the Repukes |

might just pull this thing out in court. They'll have several tries I'm sure as it's appealed up to the state Supreme Court, and they are gonna throw money at lawyers by the truckload, so they just might get somewhere with all the whining and bellyaching they are doing now. Again, Repugs don't care about decorum or polite discourse, all they care about is WINNING. And, unlike our current Democratic leadership, they have the drive, energy, and committed passion to keep fighting until they do.
