Countries donated 0$ for the Tsunami Relief
Edited on Wed Jan-12-05 11:00 AM by Florida_Geek
While a thread got locked by Skinner over one country's name and he named another, I got to looking at the list and except for Venezuela, the whole continent of South America looks to be missing in action.

edit to add... Where is Brazil and Chile for example.

1. Some of those countries
are in worse shape than Indonesia, etc. They shouldn't be expected to pony up.

2. i think the list is suspect
For example, while it indicates no tsuanmi relief from Brazil, this story suggests otherwise: http://www.undp.or.th/whatsnew/Brazil_Tsunami.html

same for Israel: http://www.jewishaz.com/jewishnews/041231/tsunami.shtml

Indeed, even Chile has offered some forms of assistance:

3. Brazil has been sending help.
As of last week, Brazil had sent three cargo shipments totalling 92 tons of food, fresh water, medicine, and medical supplies to the stricken countries. Supplies are continuing to be sent. They are also sending 1,200 members of the Brazilian navy, troops from the Army Engineers Battalion and helicopters to help. I don't know about money, but Brazil isn't missing in action.

6. You're welcome
I wonder if the list you saw only listed countries who have contributed monetary relief. As I said, I don't know if Brazil has sent money.
