Will bitter-enders EVER accept there were no WMD?
When I heard the search was over today, I could hardly believe it. They were STILL SEARCHING?

By April, 2003, it was clear there were no WMD, but the question absurdly remained open, through repeated searches, reports, investigations.

I recall the ridiculous Sen. John Warner being one "bitter-ender" who after each time it was proven again what everyone knew, would keep saying "we still don't know for sure, let's keep looking..."

This morning, on Fox News, the correspondent said the search is over, but there are still hundreds of pages of documents to go through.

1. Just 'cause we chose to stop looking doesn't mean the WMD aren't

"You can't prove a negative" works great for them.

5. documents of mass destruction?

when it's clear that there was NO THREAT, they'll accept it, and simply deny that WMD were the reason for invading... they are kind of doing that now, with all the talk of bringing 'democracy' to Iraq suddenly

6. Last year bush & Cheney admitted no WMD and no "programs" for WMD
Edited on Wed Jan-12-05 02:22 PM by LynnTheDem
and there had been NO WMD IN IRAQ WHATSOEVER SINCE THE EARLY 1990s...but the rightwingnuts don't actually LISTEN to bush or Cheney.

For the past 2 years, bush has publicly admitted Iraq had NOTHING to do with 911; but 60% of bush supporters still think Iraq did 911.

EVEN RIGHTWINGNUTS can't stand to actually listen to bush! :D

7. This Is The Old "Absence of Evidence Is Not. . .
. . .Evidence of Absence" nonsense. In reality, there can NEVER BE evidence of absence. You can never find evidence for something that didn't exist. It's impossible. So, when you hear this stuff, just consider the source. They are so stupid they don't even realize that what they're claiming as absence of proof does not even exist.

8. Just another example of your tax dollars at work.
You keep on with keeping on with the lie you have, not with the lie you would like to have, or wish you would have in the future.

Just wait for the re-write of the history books.

10. No, because to accept the reality on WMD is to accept the reality about *

It is easier for the righties and haters to simply refuse to ackknowledge the truth about WMD, and look like idiots, then to proceed to the next item of discussion, which is what to do about the dummies who got us into this war.

As long as they never have to face how badly Bush blew the WMD issue, they never have to face the fact their president is either a liar or a dolt. Now, why an American would refuse to face that fact, and indulge in lies in order to maintain a liar and dolt in office, is for another post.

11. It was never about that

I suspect more politicians in power know that. The people on the other hand, we have to be lied to. We're not allowed to know that we're an empire. Unless we look for it.

"While the unresolved conflict with Iraq provides the immediate justification, the need for a substantial American force presence in the Gulf transcends the issue of the regime of Saddam Hussein."

One of many quotes everyone needs to know, but too few do, from our friends at PNAC.

12. But Rummy said
he knows where they are. "We know where they are. They’re in the area around Tikrit and Baghdad and east, west, south and north somewhat."
