Perle, Wolfowitz and Condi wrote that speech
It was neo-con drivel through and through.

Big political mistake, that was not what an angry, disillusioned public was wanting to hear. That rehashed propaganda was aimed at a uninformed , ignorant frightened political base. The pollsters should have been consulted for this speech Karl, not the American Enterprise Institute zealots, shills and toadies.

Chuck Hagel is ripping the speech to shreds right now. Damn i shouldnt even have wasted my time watching it. Pathetic.

4. Now I understand their strategery...
Edited on Sun Sep-07-03 08:08 PM by KeepItReal
Take a non-threatening stable dictatorship with a very shady past.... Paint it as a clear and present danger to middle America....Decapitate its government by means of illegal invasion... Don't use enough troops to secure the territory...Allow belligerant 3rd parties to enter the destabilized country en masse to join forces with enemy troops who were never engaged in direct combat (we bribed their commanders not to fight)... U.S. troops and international helpers become bait for so-called "Terrists".

And now pay defense contractors (not the troops fighting, mind you) $1 BILLION a week just to keep things going in the destabilized country.
