Poll question: GUT INSTINCT Poll: Who do you PREDICT will be the Dem moninee?
Edited on Sun Sep-07-03 08:01 PM by mlawson
Please, not necessarily (or probably) who you WANT, but at the end of the season, who do you *suspect* will give the nominee's speech at Boston??? Be objective, please!

I suspect it will be Kerry or Lieberman -- they have the insider clout, IMO.

Yeah, I know: "moninee".... Sorry.

1. Deadlocked convention = Gore/Clark
Edited on Sun Sep-07-03 08:26 PM by JasonBerry
Too many regional candidates this time out.....

Deadlocked convention, nobody can get the 2,170 deleagtes needed to nominate. The convention turns to Al Gore and probably Wesley Clark. Gore will have to win it AGAIN.

20. I'm with you on this!
.. I just think that if Dean got it, he wouldn't win the presidency. We've seen it before with Dukakis. People seemed pretty psyched about him, but come election time..

2. Dean with Clarke as VP
And Kerry as Sec. of State. Not sure why on that part, I just had a weird day dream.

10. Why?
Edited on Sun Sep-07-03 08:28 PM by poskonig
Dean brings no benefits as a VP and a lot of unnecessary baggage.

Without the organizational and fundraising stuff Dean hauls in at the top of the ticket, there isn't much point adding a queer-loving Northeastern liberal from a tiny state to the campaign.

5. Hillary?
I'd like it - but for now and for the forseeable future it is Dean vs Kerry, Clark, Edwards, and Gep - and I have no clue as to how it will turn out.

6. Gut sez Clark
Edited on Sun Sep-07-03 08:17 PM by nu_duer
with Dean as VP.

Head sez Clark or Dean or Kerry...Edwards maybe as a long shot.

DG, CMB, AS, DK, BG, JL, imho, will be gone way before the covention - tho I hope DK stays in the race all the way thru, wins delegates, and forces himslef a prominent place at the convention. Any influence he can wield there would be to the nation's benefit.

7. Clark??? Really surprised here. How does he do it?
Will the DLC/DNC back him, and pour everything they have into his candidacy?? That is the only way I see it happening.

11. I doubt it
It's probably going to be Dean.
During the debate, Kucinich showed that he will have serious problems with other debates- if he pulls that "hellooooo" thing on one of the major debates w/ Bush, his ass is grass.
Dean is gaining more and more momentum, and it seems Kerry is having some serious issues raising money and excitment.

thats easy. But, in the bizarro world of what ifs, IF Dean had the nod, I can tell you for a fact Lieberman would be his VP. Any doubters?

14. Clark or Kerry
Dean has a definete shot, but I think as the primary runs on Dean's energized base will be consumed by the moderate fickle democratic voters.

I'd be happy with any 3, I think they all have a good chance of beating Bush.

not their practical evaluation of who's going to win

why do you find it necessary to insult "half of us" as having no political sense?

I'm a Dean supporter.

He seems the most "presidential", had the best lines/jokes.

That's what sells
