Bush's* base will turn on him
Ok -- I'll admit I didn't watch the speech (I really can't stomach watching that man on television), but I scanned all the threads.

Seems to me that * wants us to sacrifice in order that the Iraqis be "saved".

People -- Bush's base don't give a flying fuck about brown people. It was ok to use them and the "freedom" excuse in order to get their war on, but this thing is costing way too much of OUR (and THEIR) money.

I'm not talking about his contributors because they are making money.

I'm talking about the average dumb broke ass freeper. Sooner or later at least they will have to ask the question: "Why are we spending so much money over there when we are so lacking over here?"

1. It will be interesting
to hear what Limbaugh, Coulter and Scarborough will be telling them next week. What possible spin could you use on them to try to bring them around? Not that I could actually stomach listening to any of them.

5. Biden is a Repub, Hagel is a Dem
In other words there is only the Bidness Party.

This $87B will be over $100B before all the
Bells/Whistles.

I find it hard to believe that this was all.

Bring our soldiers home.
We're just figuring how big the Iraq Memorial
is going to be now.

With its mantra-like quality, its subtext repeated
on CNN by aging retired generals obedient to
Mr. Bush’s propaganda machinery (most
retired for good reason): Achieving Rapid
Dominance. That we did not achieve any
such thing cannot today be admitted; but it
will, upon reflection, be admitted one day
when the history and analysis of these wars
is written. Which has already begun-On Tactics and
Strategy

7. Of course they will
After campaigning on a promise not to get into "nation-building," that is EXACTLY what Dumbya is doing right now. I think he is honestly trying to build America's image while we grovel to the UN --"See... we're really humane! We're gonna spend all this money to help the Iraqi people, why don't you too?"

Unfortunately we've got our own problems at home and even Repukes are gonna balk at the money we are spending oversees when we have a growing deficit at home.
