Just bought the Bill Hicks DVD today

Too bad he died in 1994. He would have been outraged by the current situation in the White House.

If you're not acquainted with Bill Hicks, go out and get the DVD.

On another note, I went to a local WaldenBooks and MediaPlay and Jon Stewarts AMERICA THE BOOK was sold out. Plenty of OReilly, Hannity and Coulter books on the rack but no Jon dammit!

10. I read "American Scream" about a month ago

It's a posthumous biography of Bill Hicks by Cynthia True. Recommended.

The only thing I don't like about Bill Hicks is the "COPS" skit where he makes fun of battered women.

11. Can you blame him though ?

From the outside looking in, it would seem like only the incredibly stupid would stay in an abusive relationship. Many are given a number of outs, and other offers, yet they stay with the abuser, sometimes leaving and returning. Making excuses for the abuse, somehow it's "their fault" and not the abuser's.

I'm a nice-guy who's been "The Friend" many times to women in bad situations, sometimes caring more than I should for the woman in the relationship (I blame it on the male desire to play the hero) BUT from my vantage point, these women come off as INCREDIBLY STUPID.

I'm NOT saying this is a fact, this is just how it appears.
