Is there ANY coverage of "No WMD" today so far?
I turned on the Today Show and thought I was watching People magazine on TV.

They got an EXCLUSIVE chance to put a camera in the face of the guy who lost his whole family in the mudslide (cue Don Henley music)

a brief mention of Steroids

Ann (""USA! USA!") Curry then segued into a story about Britain's Prince Henry in a Nazi costume (mentioned again later and a full report about it in the 8:00 half hour)

The 7:30 half hour featured reports on the new food pyramid and the Kennedy auction.

Driving to work-NPR had no mention of it.

Is there any reporting of it or did the liberal media saturate us with it enough last night?

1. Front Page here...AM New York

Not sure what to make of that Photoshopped picture. I mean there is nothing funny about this invasion and war.

24. Other NY papers
decided to put a story about Price Harry at a costume party on the front page. Apparently this kind of story sells more papers. Headlines are not about what's important but what sells. I'll never understand why so many people are fascinated by the royal family.

2. My local news mentioned it briefly this morning.
Now is Chris Matthews going to have an hour long special devoted to it ala CBS and Dan Rather the other night?

3. NPR mentioned it
and then cut to a sound bite of mark "does anyone actually believe what i'm saying" mccurry saying something about how chimpy would have made the same decision with the current information and that the real (now) is trying to determine what went wrong with the intelligence community's assesment - - let me get this straigh, we're spending $200 billion to figure out problems with intelligence?

12. W"I had bad intelligence"
a bumpersticker I saw a while ago with a picture of the smiling jackass.

Problems with intelligence.....let's throw money at it and give Tenet a medal. How's that for resolving it?

The only problem with intelligence was that it didn't back up the preconceived notions so they started making their own intelligence.

15. Funny how the repukes love to "throw money at it"
when it's "bad intelligence" (which of course it is not, it was deliberately cooked intelligence) or "freedom on the march" but when it comes to real problems, like crumbling schools they blame the liberals for "throwing money at the problem." :eyes:

7. AM shows are less news, more prurient interest stories
The sh*t hit the fan months ago on war criminal Bush invading a country and killing thousands. The media was silent then and now they could care less. If we could just get another scream from Dean, then the media can once again go into overdrive.

14. Stop the media!
The morning shows are pure garbage. But we have come to a point that something must be done about the media. This nation has been taken over and the media are now fully complicit. Even NPR is gone. We need a strategy to get in their faces - hard, be it local, regional or network. Things will only get worse if we fail to act.

that'll be a helluva purge if it ever gets done. only the internet has objectivity, if you seek it out. the main stream media is totally propaganda a this point.

19. I watched BBC World NEws and ABC last night
ABC did lead with it and did remind everyone that it WAS the main reason given for going to war but then showed part of the Barbara Walters interview with W and Pickles in which W said "...many people thought..." Yep W is using Fox News techniques now.

BBC must have said "wrong" "mistaken" "Embarassing" ten times.

They difference in the reporting was noticeable.

My own mother said this to me a few weeks ago (as a reply to my often made point) "You know I don't really think we ARE being lied to"

Oh Mom.

18. CNN showed a Leno clip...
of him making a joke about it...then Solidad O'Brien was laughing saying "that's funny".... FUNNY??? It's FUNNY that all these people have died??? That a country has been destroyed??? SO DISGUSTING that reports are just dismising it - this should be an opportunity for them to revisit this!!!

21. CBS covered it last night. Briefly.
Admittedly, it was crammed in between a story about American soldiers lacking sufficient supplies and American soldiers having to air-lift in their remaining supplies because of the ambushes. It was a generic no-story that warranted little more than a hastily 'shopped graphic and a news buletin style announcement. But they did mention it.

22. You know what's really said?
CBS rolls heads over the whole Bush National Guard story but GB&Company can lie to the whole world about WMD in Iraq and they are untouchables. Not one person has died over the National Guard Story but thousands on top of thousands have died over the Iraq lie.
Makes no sense to me!!!!!

23. How could they have gotten it SO WRONG???
That is the lead in or implied question to the CBS story, at least the part about the documents that were accurate but not real as exposed immediately by a Republican who just happened to know an incredible amount about typewriters of the early 70's and had all this information readily at hand and was compiling it while Ben Barnes was on screen saying that yes in fact he had received pressure to get W into the TANG and thus avoid Vietnam, but not what any news source is asking of itself when the unneccesary deaths of over 100,000 people is involved.

Now back to Katie, Lester, and Al..........
