New FBI Software May Be Unusable
"A central feature of the agency's $581-million computer overhaul aimed at coordinating anti-terrorism efforts is reportedly inadequate.

The new FBI computer program designed to help agents share information to ward off terrorist attacks may have to be scrapped, the agency has concluded, forcing a further delay in a four-year, half-billion-dollar overhaul of its antiquated computer system.

The bureau is so convinced that the software, known as Virtual Case File, will not work as planned that it has taken steps to begin soliciting proposals from outside contractors for new software, officials said. . . .Since <9/11> the attacks, Congress has given the FBI a blank check, allocating billions of dollars in additional funding. So far the overhaul has cost $581 million, and the software problems are expected to set off a debate over how well the bureau has been spending those dollars."

1. They probably used it to steal the election and now want the
evidence destroyed. They are going to need better software for 2008.

2. Another SAIC billion dollar boondoggle!
Okay, so it was only up to half a billion. It still doesn't work. No surprise there -- they couldn't actually DO the work they are paid for if their lives depended on it.

I'm pretty sure that SAIC is also heavily involved in electronic voting machines, especially as used overseas, as well as a WHOLE lot of other Pentagon pork.

Who runs SAIC? Frank Carlucci, Robert Gates, and Admiral Bill Owens, former aide to Dick Cheney.

Criminals, every last one of them.
