Did the right wingers hate America when Clinton was president?
They did not respect the office of the president, disagreed with everything the government wanted to do or any of the military interventions. Aren't those the reasons we are supposed to hate America?

9. I thought the Bosnia's effort was from 30,000 ft.
I don't think we had any real number of ground troops. That is why we bombed the Chinese embassy.

4. No. Clinton hated America.
America wasn't America until January 20, 2001, when it reached its apotheosis. (Except that most right wingers can't pronounce apotheosis and don't know what it means.)

5. Yes and they still hate America
It has nothing to do with who is president, however. They just have no respect for the ideals this nation was founded upon. They want a christian theocracy, not a land of the free.

11. But 9/11 changed everything! Hating the president, criticizing him
when troops in the field, impeaching him, and doing little things like shooting fed agents and resisting arrest, all practiced by republicans then, are bad now.

It isn't because they are hypocrites! No, it is because 9/11 changed everything!

We are one united country now, as proven by the vitriolic hatred of the right wing for those who dare criticize the Commander in Chief. Understand now?

12. I did not hate America but I sure
could not stand Clinton.

Clinton as a politician was good his policy was good for the nation on the whole.

But as a human he left one hell of a lot to be desired. If my daughter brought home a man like him as her intended I would be ashamed of her and would withhold my endorsement (course I would not approve if she brought some one home like the current white house occupant either).

Clinton made it way to easy to stay a Republican longer than I had to or should have (I am a recovering one now).

I wish Bill and Hillary would go far, far, away.

While Clinton was having strings pulled so he could avoid military service (and protect his political viability, his words not mine) other factory workers sons like me either served or found active duty as a way out of a problematic situation.

I wish I had, had one tenth of the advantages that Clinton had.

I served, and got a service connected disability for my trouble, Clinton went/goes around getting away with things.

I testified in a Naval Board of Inquiry (kind of like a military Grand Jury) and believe me it never occurred to me to lie to the questioners.

People like me go to jail if they do things like that, people like Bill and Hillary don't.

I have had my fill of the Republican party and voted for Kerry in 04, and never intend to vote for Republican again, but I still can't stand any thing Clinton!

15. Hey, Wisc
I have a vacation home in Door County. Love it.

I guess you have your issues with the Clintons but you don't say exactly what. I liked Bill Clinton, still do and also HIllary (I sent her money for her campaign in NY). I'm glad you are a recovering repug and I'm glad WI is a blue state. But I don't hear where you are coming from in your loathing of the Clintons.

16. I will attempt to answer our CT
I do not like Clinton because he always gets away with every thing. The man is not an honest man.

He seems to me like he is/was always playing an angle, looking for a loop hole.

In my life and those around me I see others get in trouble when they lie (and Clinton did lie, weather or not he should have been impeached for it may be debatable, but he did lie).

I want to be able to respect my President and I have not been able to do so since Bush 1.

I know the Clinton types back during the Viet Nam war and they were so sure that they were superior to us lowly little cannon fodder types. I had one tell me that his skin was to important to be risked in SE Asia. Tell me what made his skin any more important than mine?
(Leave out the debate on weather Nam was a justifiable fight because it was not, that is not my point)

Thomas Frank has a book out "The Problem with Kansas" (at least I think I have the title correct). And he pretty much nails me as to how I used to vote.

I do not and will not vote GOP ever again, but Clinton had/has the morals of an alley cat and thus does not merit my respect.

My son told me that it is not to hard to pick up the phone and call for security when a comely young women enters your office and drops her dress to show you her thong. The nation would have been better off if Clinton had thought with brain and not his penis, and if Hillary was not so transparently power hungry.

Jeesh a little humility would not have hurt.

Hope that explains it a little bit, In Wisconsin we like our politicos clean and above aboard (think Feingold).

18. Welcome To The Bright Side
I think you're a bit naive, though, in your assessment of Clinton. The way ANY politician gets to that level is exactly the sort of thing you resent in Bill. You might want to consider that.

13. They have hated America since way back in Roosevelt's Day
Maybe before, if you consider the Bootlicking Furer Worshipping contingent that give the CURRENT King George a Rim Job were then giving the previous King George the same.

But since when does Totalitarian Bullying, whether Bushevik, Bolshevik, Nazi, Marcosian on Maoist, EVER had to make sense?

17. I Think It Goes Even Further Back
Remember TR broke ranks with the Repubs over their amelioration of big business and attempts to roll back anti-trust. That movement began the whole Republican, "business and money are more important than the Constitution and the citizens" ethos.

22. IOKIYAR

Disagreeing with US military actions and opposing the President during times of war is only wrong if you're a Liberal or Democrat.

It's OK If You're A Republican.
