And it is going to be exciting when he gets into the later debates, and we get to hear his ideas in more detail. :)

He is in or out before then. There is a Dem debate that day in NYC.

5. He's running for Sec of State!
My guess is that he not interested in the Presidency. If he was, he'd already have thrown in his hat!

Personally, I'd rather see him as Dean's running mate (VP).

This whole Hamlet thing seems like the Gore book tour. But we'll know in 12 days or less.

7. I'm uncertain.
The media blitz makes it look like Clark is running; the talk about "closure" does not.

9. Seeing three Clarks, but just one man.....
Edited on Sun Sep-07-03 09:56 PM by burr
The first Clark already plans to run. He hopes to edge Graham, Lieberman, and Edwards out of the primaries while seizing media attention away from Dean. Clark is raising money, getting publicity, and raising suspense to rocket himself into the position of frontrunner in the primaries.

The second Clark has not given this much thought. He is the humble valedictorian who may step forward to run, but only if his nation or a party needs his service. He is available, but is never in it for personal reasons.

The third Clark never intended to run. This Clark is using this publicity as a way to increase demand for his upcoming book. He never really was in either party, but does have strong opinions regarding national security. This Clark must not disappoint the financial interests that are funding the draftclark websites, and underwriting his newest book on current affairs.

18. How did you make the red-white-blue Clark letters?
I've been playing around with p-shop for a while now, and I can't find a way to get that mix of colors for text. It's a pain in the butt, because against a colorful background, some colors wash out (like my current banner, where the 'Wesley' washes out against the background), but a mixed color scheme would remain legible. Just curious :-)

13. Here's a hint from Time:

"Is there one more presidential candidate still to come? Democratic
Party insiders are convinced that retired General Wesley Clark will
soon announce a bid for the presidency. In fact their National
Committee chairman, Terry McAuliffe, has even ordered an extra
podium for him at the Sept. 25 debate among Democratic candidates in
New York City."

they had an extra podium for him at the debate on the 4th. I dunno how much it implies, really.

24. Eric Alterman says recent events like Gen. Anthony Zinni
(special envoy to the Middle East under Bush) condemning Bush's Iraq policy are arguments for Clark to run.
