Are we going to use natrual disasters as a means of taking over countries? |
|
I think that the response to our tsunami aid reveals a very prescient paranoia--the current US will use any means to take over a country. I think they are right to be afraid that it starts with goodwill packages, and then it turns into occupation. I think that Bush has looked at every disaster from 9/11 to the Florida hurricanes to the tsunami and said "How can I make this work for me?" I'd beware of Bushes bearing gifts, too.

1. Bianca Jagger is pointing out on Scarborough that |

the country doesn't want to have their debt forgiven by the IMF for fears that they will be held bondaged to obligations that maybe they don't want to feel obligated to. I think that sounds logical. I would feel the same way.

Indonesia is a potential trouble spot--wow, God gave us an opening, and we didn't even have to bomb it!
