What I learned from Falwell, Robertson and associates.
Edited on Fri Jan-14-05 06:06 AM by cornermouse
Christians lie.

Christians cheat.

Christians are power-hungry.

Christians don't know the meaning of the words love, charity, mercy, or compassion.

In fact, there are some who call themselves christians, who don't even appear to know the God they claim to worship.

Disclaimer: (The above does not necessarily apply to all christians, just some. To be precise, the ones on the tv screen.)

I went to public school but had to go to catholic release time thing. and by the time i was 14 i knew it was all lies. or perhaps i hoped cause i knew i was going to hell according to them, hell according to them i missed mass i was going to hell. they made me nuts. so you figure shit i might as well do whatever the hell i want cause if i am going to hell for missing mass thats a waste of a good life = i am going to have some fun before i go to hell. and if you are lucky and you know you are going to die, get a preist say you are sorry and go to heaven. please.

didnt need hypocrite falwell to tell me. i was raised catholic. we never saw a bible. they knew better.

3. that's the information
we need to hammer home to the public at large -- change the perception that conservative christians behave ''better'' than anybody else.

4. Well this thread
will bring all of the oppressed Christians out to gnash their teeth and beat their chests. You know it's been said that there are people watching DU and it's this kind of stuff that is causing the Democratic Party to loose elections. :eyes:

Yawn ZZZZZZZZ

I wonder how far this Christian thing is going to go before it starts a friggen bloody civil war in this country. What will be the straw ? Will it be the Christians that lash out violently because their alleged mandate isn't being satisfied ? Another Tim McViegh Oklahoma City scenario or will it be random attacks on their churches by groups that are fed up with this push toward a theocracy ?

It's coming to a clash but when where and how ?

The Gay community has much to be concerned about that's for sure.

8. I strongly advocate...
regular bible burnings in all communities. These bigoted Xtian zealots are the prime cause of so much trouble, pain and misery in this country. The enemy of democracy is religious fundamentalism of ALL kinds.

5. Falwell, Robertson, etc, sell what I call
commercial Christianity. It is not a faith, but a commodity that is pushed in infomercials called religious TV, and the point is not to make people self examine their lives and strive to be better but to enrich and empower the leaders of the movement. And how do they get this power? Easy. Sell the masses what they want-easy salvation (just believe the way I tell you and you go instantly to heaven) and a reinforcement of stereotypes and hatred of groups such as gays, non-Christians, etc.

6. Why would the creator choose Jerry Falwell, Pat Robertson, Benny Hinn,
Jimmy Swaggart, Oral Roberts, Jim and Tammy Baker, and a host of other blatant maniacs to represent Him on earth?

Every time CNN wants to showcase a religious topic, they trot out that fat holstien Falwell, as if they couldn't find anybody else to make the Lord's point. Pitiful.

7. go to google and pull up "unholy alliance"
See what you get.

http://www.rense.com/general20/unholy.htm

Take it with a grain or two of salt. But read it all just the same, all four parts.
