Have you tried calling the Social Security Administration lately? |
|
Guess what? Government propaganda awaits you when you sit on hold! Yes, Social Security is going broke, especially in light of all those baby boomers about to or already retiring! The sooner we fix this, the better!!
I'm paraphrasing. But that is OUR money that we have paid into the system and it is our money that is paying for the freaking propaganda.
If I had no children I would seriously consider leaving this country.

1. Propaganda awaits you in your annual statement, too. |
|
I'm sure it's been discussed ad nauseum, but I just wanted to mention the Chimp-friendly disclaimers about projected monthly income they've got in there, this year.
Our tax dollars at work. It's hard work!

2. Most SS offices also have huge pics of both Bush and Cheney in lobbies |
|
Federal offices have always had modest pics of the sitting Pres on display but never before have the SS offices been provided such huge framed pictures of the Pres. Also, until this misadministration, SS offices have never had the VP's picture on display too. At SS offices where managers insist on displaying these large pictures, many of the employees and visitors resent this waste of govt funds.
Most of the rank and file claims reps and service reps at SS oppose privatization and know that Bush's plan will be a nightmare of even more complicated rules, confusion and lower benefits. However the high level self-serving political appointees are 100% behind the Bush agenda including a desire to diminish the employees' union and replace as many federal SSA employees as possible with private contractors.
