www.majorityleader.gov The Majority Leader is a POLITICAL POSITION, not a CONSTITUIONAL ONE - why "our money" is going for a pompous website for Tom Delay is beyond me. http://www.majorityleader.gov/ (Have vomit bag ready)

that this is a publication from the US committee stated? Has someone seen one of these?
Sorry to be doubtful, but I'm appalled and outraged that ANY congressional committee would spend taxpayer dollars for a partisan distortion of history to advance a political agenda. If this is the case, I want to start a campaign bringing light to this NOW!

10. Thank you! Now I want to know how this committee is funded. |
|
There is a Republican Policy Committee and a Democratic Policy Committee. Both are listed as House committees, so I'm not sure if that means they are also funded by taxpayer dollars based on the Appropriations Committee recommendations.
Also, the charge of committees, at least IMO, should be identical. I'd need to research if this is the case. It appears that the Republican Policy Committee is also a propaganda promoter at this point though. The calendar can be downloaded freely and it looks as though actual "printing" of the calendar is done in this way.
However, there had to be expenses with the creation of the calendar and getting it to the point it is now on the web (research, design, editing, graphic design, etc.).
So, at the moment, I want to send the link to every Democratic house member (and senate for good measure) with a little "Have you seen what they're doing now?" I'm sure they have, but perhaps a few words from a citizen will get them motivated to fight in the field with this well-oiled propaganda machine.
Anyone want to join in?

4. It's one thing to distribute propaganda |
|
and quite another to use our tax dollars to do so! I think some letters of complaint are in order along with some history lessons! Maybe repubs want to think they had much to do with civil rights, but if you look at what happened to African American voters in multiple states on 11/2/04, it's patently obvious that the Republican party intends to keep depriving rightful voters of their rights! Here's * that won't even meet with the NAACP! What a bunch of hypocrites!

I think we should make civil rights groups aware of this travesty. They MIGHT be able to get the MSM's attention.

12. WHOA! Let's not go half-cocked to the MSM |
|
before we know all of the facts of this. I'm concerned that trying to start a shit-storm over this at the media level is not the best avenue.
Let's start with an e-march to our Congressional Democrats first.
It's very likely that Dems have the ability and opportunity to produce and publish similar things. For whatever reason, they haven't. I'd first like to know why. Otherwise it could be egg on our faces.
We need to first demand from THEM that they stop the propaganda and attack back.
