2. I really don't get the article
Davison is very red I would guess. At one time it was a small farming community but is now populated by upscale yuppies.

Flint is a econimically depressed former auto making hub filled with former UAW members. I would call Flint blue.

I'm confused by the article becuase it ties Davison and Flint together and I dont the think Davison School district has anything to do with the Flint School District.
