How about if we gave EVERY STATE a BILLION DOLLARS to rebuild??? |
|
Eliminate increased taxes.
Eliminate deficits.
Improve schools.
Increase benefits for workers (unemployment, worker's comp, unions)
Imporove services to the poor and the needy and the diabled.
Provide state health care for the poor and the elderly and the disabled and many more who cannot affors it.
Bush is an IDIOT.
The long lost son who shows up after gambling all his money away like Tom Hulce's character in Parenthood asking his beautiful sweet and crusty Dad (Jason Robards)for MORE m0ney to blow on his disgusting and self destructive habits.
Tom Hulce IS Bush.
Bush takes a month long vacation and THEN comes with his hand out (actually he SHOVES it into our pockets) asking us to sacrtifice MORE. More of oiur children's lives wiasted. More of our Tax dollars for Halliburton. More misery and suffering for the neighbors and our "friends".
Bush is like the Boys who shot up Columbine. Sick and violent. And, unfortunately, REALLY REALLY STUPID!!!
This was the STUPIDEST THING bUSH COULD HAVE DONE!!!
COOOOLLLL.
But maybe Bushies daddy's friends are fed up and like Ghost Dog the Mafia bosses are ready to eliminate one of their own because they have become an embarassment (and Bush Sr, probably approved it -- after all the dummy is making HIM look bad too)

Wyoming doesn't really need that billion, whereas California needs much more.

2. I loved Bush saying "I" am willing to sacrifice |
|
The man has not one ounce of humility. Not one ounce.
"I" am willing to pay any amount.
Well, George, get on the phone to your trustee and get him to write out a check!
Hi......new here!! Well, not new, just newly registered. I read the board all the time, but I have some important info to pass on about the PNAC. Now I find I can't start a thread. Hope it won't be long before I can!

Why in the HELL would I want to spend 87 billion dollars to fix what BUSH bombed?
Is he on crack or something?
This needs to be played up at every opportunity. Bush can't cobble together an "AFTER" plan, so he wants to throw money at the problem? Gee, I thought only Democrats did that! </sarcasm>
87 billion dollars could fix a lot on my street, in my town, in my state, and in MY country!
What a pompous fuckup!

6. You know I really think this idea has some merit |
|
Maybe not a billion per state.
What about proportionate funds to states, relative to their representation in the House?
After all, Bush has shown that he doesn't give a shit how much he spends. So why not try to help out the states?

WHAT COULD WE DO IN AMERICA WITH 87 BILLION DOLLARS FOR CHILDREN, EDUCATION, HEALTH CARE AND INFRASTRUCTURE!!!
Bush wants money for his mistakes.
We need money for his mistakes HERE.
Bring the troops home and save Billions. Use it here!!!
This is why Bush should not be elected.
His Halliburton cronies get BILLIONS of it. And I am collecting cans and bottles for my kids education and the dentist (not to mention prescriptions).
As for how it gets distributed: just so long as it is spread FAIRLY -- probably according to the rate and number of people living in poverty. WE are suffering greatly too. The children are. I see it in my work every day.

10. It would just go towards building more prisons...... |
|
lets face it folks America is on some sort of crank-induced spending binge. Bridges failing? Let's build prisons. Emergency rooms closing? Let's fund Viagra for everybody!!! Streets full of anti-war protestors? The Democratic "Leadership" gonna vote for war.
Congress and the state legislators are totally whacko with the exception of Bernie Sanders. Time to dry out.
