Media Propaganda Alert: Extreme Weather |
CNN is doing a report about the Big Island of Hawai'i and snow on the mountains of Mauna Kea and Mauna Loa. CNN Is treating this as if it is some sort of crazy "end of days" extreme weather event. It is not. It is completely normal, the summits of Mauna Loa and Mauna Kea are above 13,000 ft. and get snow every winter season. I guess the hayseed fundies in Texas may treat this as the Lord being angry at the world for allowing homosexuals to come out of their closets, but anybody with even a slightly scientific mind and an I.Q. above 15 points will know better. It is just more fear mongering and propaganda being spread by the whores at CNN.

5. I went to Hawaii in July of 91. |
When I got off the plane there was snow on the mountains. It was breathtaking. Snow in Hawaii's mountains is normal even in the summer of 91.

7. Mauna Kea means "white mountain" |
wonder why. Duh. There is even a Hawaiian snow goddess, Poliahu, who lives at its summit. Supposedly snow occurs when Pele invades her turf...
The only somewhat unusual thing about this particular snowfall is that it is down to around the 10,000-foot level.
